Magnetization switching induced by spin–orbit torque from Co<sub>2</sub>MnGa magnetic Weyl semimetal thin films

This study reports the magnetization switching induced by spin–orbit torque (SOT) from spin current generated in Co2MnGa magnetic Weyl semimetal (WSM) thin films. We deposited epitaxial films with a highly B2-ordered structure on MgO(001) substrates. The SOT was characterized harmonic Hall measurements Co2MnGa/Ti/CoFeB heterostructure, and relatively large efficiency (?SH) of ?7.8% obtained. SOT-induced perpendicularly magnetized CoFeB layer further demonstrated using structure. symmetry second signals, thickness dependence ?SH, shift anomalous loops under applied currents were also investigated. not only contributes to understanding mechanisms spin-current generation magnetic-WSM-based heterostructures but paves way for applications WSMs spintronic devices.
